nappy creams
This is a list of readily available nappy creams and powders, that we have rated from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent) according to their suitability for use with our nappies. If you use a cream that has a poor rating but it works well for your baby then just remember to use a liner to protect the nappy and to throw the liner away after use. If you wash the liner with the nappies it will contaminate the washing water with the cream. All creams and powders rating from 4 and above are fine without a liner. If you use a cream we don't have listed please email us and tell us what you think about it. | Brand | Description | Stockists | Rating | | Am-o-lin | An almond oil based cream with zinc and calamine | Chemist, Grocery | 5 | | Curash | Non-talc powder with zinc | Chemist, Grocery | 5 | | Non-Talc Baby Powder | Cornstarch powder | Chemist, Grocery | 5 | | Weleda | Light cream with calendula and echinacea | Chemist, Health Store | 4 | | Tui Bee Balme | Thick beeswax, olive oil and propolis | Chemist, Health Stores | 4 | | Motherwell | Thick beeswax, almond oil, and manuka honey | Health Stores | 4 | | Ecostore Nappy Cream | Zinc based cream | Chemist, Grocery | 1 | | Lucas's Pawpaw Ointment | Thick petroleum jelly based cream with fermented paw paw | Health Stores | 1 | | Vaseline Petroleum Jelly | Petroleum jelly | Chemist, Grocery | 1 | | Zinc & Castor Oil | Mixture of Zinc with Castor Oil | Chemist, Grocery | 1 | | Zinc | 100% Zinc cream | Chemist, Grocery | 1 | | Aqueous Cream | Mineral oil with emollient | Chemist | 1 | | Emulsifying Ointment | Use for eczema 100% paraffin | Chemist | 1 |
